These development charges are in effect as of August 1, 2012.

Residential

• Single detached dwelling and semi-detached dwelling:
  
  • Within the urban area: $ 10,425.00 per unit
  • Within the non-urban area: $4,278.00 per unit
• Townhouse dwelling: $6,950.00 per unit
• Apartment dwelling: $5,672.00 per unit

Commercial

• Urban Area - Tourist Core: $20.422 per square metre of gross floor area ($1.90 per sq. ft.)
• Urban Area - Excluding Tourist Core: $49.716 per square metre of gross floor area ($4.62 per sq. ft)
• Non-Urban Area: $17.778 per square metre of gross floor area ($1.65 per sq. ft.)

Industrial

Industrial Development Charges were abolished in November 2001.
