Industrial/Commercial Real Estate

In September, 2002, updated figures for the Industrial Land Atlas, produced by the Planning and Development Division, Regional Municipality of Niagara, shows that Niagara Falls has far more available industrial lands than any other municipality.

Niagara Falls has 2,689 acres or 214 available industrial sites.

In August, 1996, Municipal staff completed an Industrial Lands Survey as part of the City's Economic Development Strategy. The land area (acreage) listed for the various sites identified are approximate and, thus, the total figure in each category is an approximation. Developable Industrial Lands include lands designated in the City's Official Plan as vacant or lands that are not encumbered by significant legal non-conforming uses.

Expansion Industrial Lands are lands designated for industrial use which are already developed for industrial purposes to a significant degree.

Many parcels are zoned and fully serviced to meet individual requirements. Some of the lowest land costs and building rents are found in Niagara Falls.
