Welcome to the Office of the City Clerk. This office is responsible for maintaining the official record of all Council meetings, the indexing and retention of all by-laws, agreements and contracts of the City.
We also issue lottery licence's and business licence's and act as the local representative of the Provincial Registrar General which involves the registration of births and deaths and the issuance of marriage licence's.
For the most part, the Clerk's is the initial contact point for the public at City Hall.

The province of Ontario has the following statutory holidays: New Year's Day, Family Day, Good Friday, Victoria Day, Canada Day, Civic Holiday, Labour Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. Government offices and many businesses are traditionally closed on the aforementioned holidays. Some also choose to close on Boxing Day as well.
