What is the Rzone?

The Rzone is an operating policy for the City of Niagara Falls, Recreation & Culture. This policy is intended to improve the safety and leisure environment in all Niagara Falls Recreation & Culture facilities, parks and programs.

What does Rzone mean?

The "R" in the Rzone logo stands for "respect and responsibility" - respect for yourself; respect for others; and responsibility for all your actions. The logo serves as a reminder to staff and public that the operating procedure is in effect and applies to everyone - coaches, parents, players, performers, audiences and visitors.

Goal

The goal of the Rzone policy is to improve the safety and leisure environment in all City of Niagara Falls facilities, parks and programs. Creating an environment of safety in which violence and harassment are not tolerated will increase participation in recreational, cultural and sport activities. Everyone can promote respect and responsibility by having community organizations, residents, visitors and City staff working together to improve the safety, appearance and environment of our community.
