Niagara Falls, ON, October 17, 2016 - In 2017, Canada will celebrate the 150th anniversary of confederation! Niagara Falls residents, along with all Canadians, will have an opportunity to mark the 150th anniversary of our Country. Throughout the year, Canadians from coast-to-coast will join friends, neighbours, and families to celebrate and honour our great country, its diverse people, stunning geography, and unique culture in meaningful ways.
We encourage you to start thinking about how you can celebrate Canada as we approach this milestone. Celebrating Canada can take many forms, the simplest of which is acknowledging the anniversary in a way that means something to you. For some, it could be as simple as flying a Canadian flag during 2017. For others, it might be gathering your organization, team, or volunteer group to participate in a Canada 150 activity. The possibilities are endless.
Share your Canada 150 event on the special event section of the City of Niagara Falls website at www.niagarafalls.ca/events/calendar/add-event/ and email your event information to email@example.com for inclusion into the Spring/Summer edition of the Niagara Falls My City Guide and the Canada 150 Celebration website. Events must be submitted by January 6, 2016 for inclusion into the My City Guide.
