Trails and Cycling

Niagara Falls is a great place to explore on foot or two wheels! Enjoy trails with scenic views. Walking or riding your bike here is a fun way to get exercise and enjoy the outdoors.

Find a trail that’s right for you

Niagara Falls has many multi-use trails for walking, jogging, or biking. Most trails are paved and easy to use. Some even have parking, exercise areas, or bike repair stations.

Trails to check out include the Millennium Trail, George Bukator Park Trail, and the NS&T Trail.

Discover all of our trails in the Parks, Trails and Facilities listing.

Report a trail concern

If you notice damage, obstructions, or maintenance issues along a public trail in Niagara Falls, reporting them helps keep our trails safe and enjoyable for everyone.

You can report a concern in a few easy ways:

Note: Please include the location of the concern (nearest address, trail name, or landmark). A photo is optional, but it can help crews assess and resolve the issue more quickly.

Cycling safety tips

Biking is fun—but it’s also important to stay safe and follow the rules.

Safety tips for cyclists

  • Don’t ride on sidewalks. Only young children can ride on the sidewalk until they develop the skills to ride on the road with traffic.
  • Use bike lanes, multi-use paths and roadways
  • Yield to pedestrians. Slow down and give people space, especially if they may have limited hearing or vision.
  • Wear a helmet. Make sure it fits snug—two fingers above your eyebrows, V-shape straps under your ears, and one finger between the strap and your chin.
  • Use a bell, horn, and reflectors to let others know you’re there. Mirrors and lights help keep you safe.
  • Ride in a single file and use proper hand signals. Do a shoulder check for traffic before switching lanes or turning to signal your intention before proceeding.
  • Obey traffic signs just like a car would

Safety for drivers

  • Give bikes at least 1 metre of space when passing (it’s the law)
  • Check your blind spots before opening your door—you may get a fine if you hit a cyclist with your door

Trail mix streaming

Trail Mix is an auditory accompaniment to your walk, featuring the work of local artists. You can listen to the mix while enjoying the sights of the Millennium Trail. QR codes along the trail will take you to music, humour or spoken word on your smart device.
